We now have a lovely portable exhibition consisting of 3 pop up banners telling the story of Wool Against Weapons Scotland in photos and text and a washing line of inspiring and creative pink scarves. If you would like to host the exhibition or have it at your event please contact Jane Lewis.
We still need more scarf panels for the Aldermaston to Burghfield Roll out on 9 August, so keep knitting and crocheting!
The UK Government will decide whether to renew the Trident contract in 2016. We are knitters and crocheters who don’t want to see £80 billion spent on more weapons of mass destruction.
Across the UK knitters are making a 7 mile pink scarf to stretch between Aldermaston and Burghfield, nuclear weapons production sites in Berkshire on August 9th 2014.
Knit or crochet your 60 x 100cm pink piece for peace to:
– Say no to the renewal of Trident nuclear weapons
– Support the Scottish Government saying no to Trident
– Create a colourful protest that can be recycled into warm blankets
